Monica Piergrossi
Monica Piergrossi is the Western Conservation Foundation Director of Energy Programs and oversees grant making and educational activities to advance climate policy and accelerate the clean energy transition in the American West.
Before rejoining the WCF team in 2015, Monica served President Obama and Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz as the Energy Department’s Director of External Affairs in Washington DC.
Monica also worked as U.S. Senator Michael Bennet‘s Western Slope Regional Director, as a Deputy Chief of Staff at the Colorado State Legislature, and as a director and staff on numerous political candidate and ballot measure campaigns.
When she’s not on the phone you can find Monica skiing the steeps at her home mountain of Crested Butte in Colorado.
